Sample Response:
District XX has been identified for Differentiated Assistance based on the 2023 California School Dashboard. A group of district leaders has been participating in Continuous Improvement Process work with Kern County Superintendent of School support. A review of state and local data including a deep dive into student group performance was conducted for all areas of the California School Dashboard. Working collaboratively over a period of several full day workshops, a problem of practice and three root causes were initially identified as leading to current district outcomes. These have been edited based on educational partner input through surveys and focus groups. Many comments were provided as input, yet support from respondents for the problem of practice and root causes ranged from 70 to 94% agreement. The district is currently developing an action plan for the implementation of the selected strategies to address two of the identified root causes which will include short term, mid-term and long term expected outcomes. The process was successful in identifying next steps for implementation and continuing to move the district forward focusing on the mission to ensure "Every student learning, every day, not matter what it takes."
